mk² represented Maple from Canada at CHEF-SACHE in Düsseldorf, a high-quality networking event for the gastronomy industry elite. For the event, mk² presented an innovative, eye-catching booth design that invited visitors into Canada’s maple forests to experience the four grades of maple syrup.
Maple Ambassador Chef Heiko Antoniewicz hosted a masterclass titled “Fascinating Maple” to showcase the natural product and its many uses. “Maple syrup creates new opportunities when cooking. It can be used to harmonize contrasting flavors and to emphasize the aroma.” Antoniewicz demonstrated maple’s versatility by preparing two incredible dishes, lamb Indian with lentil cream and cabbage salad. Sequences of the masterclass as well as impressions of the event were shared on social media reaching a broader audience of home chefs.
During the exhibition mk² actively engaged with the 2,000 attending chefs, restaurateurs, and key culinary decision-makers. mk² established new contacts in the gastronomy sector and presented Maple from Canada as a multifaceted ingredient for sophisticated cooking. To encouraged industry professionals to include maple as a staple ingredient, 250 sample bags with different grades of syrup were handed out to chefs and culinary influencers, alongside informational resource guides.
